The PTSA could use your help!
| There are many ways to help this week go smoothly. On Wednesday, the PTSA will be looking for extra hands to help distribute planners and schedules to the new sixth graders in the auditorium. Beginning at 9 a.m. the PTSA will be putting together Start of School packets – a great opportunity to meet other parents and ask questions. It's even kind of fun! On Thursday, the PTSA is looking for people to help greet the 7th and 8th graders and help them find their way around the new HIMS campus! Contact Jennifer Veninga for more information. |
First Day of School!
| Don't forget that HIMS has moved to Lincoln High for the duration of the renovation. Just wander a few blocks north of HIMS…here's a link to help you locate the Lincoln building. Tomorrow, Wednesday September 3rd: First day of school for 6th graders only. Sixth graders should arrive between 7:30 and 8 am and should enter the building (that's the new building – Lincoln High) through the main entrance on the western side of the building (on Interlake Avenue North). Students will then be directed to the auditorium. Students will have plenty of time to practice opening their lockers and learning how to get around the building. Seventh and Eighth graders can find their schedules on the Source beginning on Wednesday. Thursday, September 4th: First day of school for 7th and 8th graders. The upper classes join the sixth graders and the school year begins in earnest! School begins at 7:45 am for all students. Students should report to their first period class. Students who do not have their schedules will be directed to the auditorium. Labels: First Day of School |
